The wrappers are designed in a Constructivist style by the renowned graphic and film poster artists Vladimir and Georgii Stenberg. They were members of the Institute of Artistic Culture in Moscow, alongside Alexander Rodchenko, Varvara Stepanova, and Liubov Popova. Beginning in 1922, the Stenbergs created sets and costumes for Alexander Tairov's Moscow Chamber Theatre. Later, they transitioned into designing film posters for Sovkino. Their iconic signature, reminiscent of circus artists, reads as '2 Stenberg 2'.
The author, Yakov Apushkin (1899-1989), was educated at VKhUTEMAS and later became a playwright. He was arrested in 1935.
