This novel by the writer Leonid Borisov (1897-1972) focuses on two circus performers. It is Borisov's third book, published a year after his best novel 'Khod Konem' ('Knight's Move').
The beautiful cover was created by Nikolai Akimov (1901-1968), a prominent book artist, experimental theatre director, and scenic designer known for his collaborations with the Leningrad Comedy Theatre.
