A manifesto of the first wave of ‘NOT’ (Scientific Organization of Labor) in the USSR, an instrument of Fordism that foreshadowed Stalin’s industrialization, coming three years before the first Five-Year Plan.
This edition of Taylor’s world-famous monograph is unique for two reasons:
1) Bold, constructivist cover design by renowned Soviet artist A. Rodchenko (1891-1956);
2) Inclusion of a foreword by Platon Kerzhentsev (1881-1940), a Proletkult theorist who was a pioneer of adapting Western ideas of scientific management to Soviet realities.
OCLC locates three copies of this edition: Yale University Library, Princeton University Library, Johns Hopkins University.
