This book, written by Michel Georges-Michel (1883–1985), a French painter, journalist, novelist, and translator, who worked with the Ballets Russes of Sergei Diaghilev from 1913 to 1929, is complemented by three drawings by Pablo Picasso, including a color illustration featured on the cover and two full-page black-and-white reproductions, one of which is a portrait of Igor Stravinsky.
