The photograph depicts the dancers of Béjart's ballet during their second tour to the USSR (the first took place in 1978). The film 'Grandpa in the White Night' was shot during the troupe’s stay in Leningrad, with some scenes filmed on the city's streets. However, this male couple's dance was not included in it.
