Very rare lithographed rehearsal edition. First and only separate lifetime edition of the Russian all-time favorite playwright Alexander Ostrovsky (1823–1886).

This rare lithographed edition, derived from the manuscript text, is of the play 'Hard-earned Bread', which was used in theatre rehearsals. The play was first performed at the Maly Theater on November 28, 1874. This edition was approved by the censor on December 21, 1874.
