'The Skyrocket' (1925) by American journalist, novelist, and screenwriter Adela Nora Rogers St. Johns (1894–1988) was published in Russian twice: once in Kharkiv in 1929 (translated by female writer Elena Zelandt), and in Riga in 1930 (translator information not provided). This novel remains the only work by St. Johns available in Russian, and it's presumed that the Riga edition is an unofficial reissue of Zelandt's translation.
Interestingly, according to information from the Riga edition, it was unclear that the author was a woman. Additionally, part of her name, Adela, was mistakenly omitted.
We couldn't trace any copy of this edition via OCLC. In Russia, the only copy is held at the Alexander Solzhenitsyn House of Russia Abroad.
